Leigh Toomey
Leigh started LAT Insurance Services in 2014. After working as a Secondary School Teacher and School Administrator for 8 years, he completed his Insurance Broking Qualification. Leigh is a keen golfer and a passionate supporter of the NFL & AFL.
Leigh and his wife, Cassie, are proud parents to two amazing children, Patrick (born 2013) and Eve (born 2014).

Jacob Kogelman
Jacob joined the team in 2021 after previously working in secondary school education, particularly in the area of student wellbeing. Jacob has long had a connection with the Toomey family, having been a colleague of Leigh’s and sharing an involvement in the local football club. Jacob currently volunteers at the local football club and is attempting to develop his golf game.
Paul Jess
Paul brings a wealth of experience to his role as an insurance broker, following a successful 12-year career as a Physical Education teacher. Throughout his time in education, he was dedicated to promoting physical fitness, wellbeing and teamwork, leaving a positive impact on countless students.
A notable aspect of Paul's professional journey is his connection with Leigh. The two have not only worked together but also shared a decade-long partnership on the football field. This experience has instilled in Paul a deep appreciation for collaboration, trust, and effective teamwork.
Outside of work, he leaves the golfing to the 'self-proclaimed' experts and instead focuses his attention on supporting successful sporting organisations such as Essendon and the Dallas Cowboys.
Frances Macklin
After many years in Customer Service within the Consumer and Debt Recovery Industries, Frances joined the team at LAT Insurance in July 2020 in the role of Customer Service/Admin Support. Frances is not related to any of the LAT team and doesn’t play golf – but does love her family and friends. Long-time passionate Richmond Football Club supporter and member.

Greg Toomey
Greg has worked in the Insurance industry since 1970. He worked for several insurers and insurance brokers before beginning his own broking business in 1991.
Greg's favourite hobby is boating at his regular holiday spot in Yarrawonga/Mulwala and enjoying the sunshine and water activities with his wife Tina, his two children and five grandchildren.
Greg is doing his best to transition into retirement and reduce his work commitments. He is working as an advisor and mentor to the team, but still manages much of our long term client portfolio.

Adam Patterson
Adam joined LAT Insurance in 2018, completing the family connection; being the son-in-law of Greg and brother-in-law of Leigh. Adam spent the previous two decades working both in emergency services and in the conveyancing industry.
Adam and his wife Elise have their hands full with three boys, Jack, Max and Tom and relish the chance to travel Australia with their caravan.
Adam's client base had grown so quickly, he re-branded in 2022 to create "AP Insurance Brokers". As family businesses we all work together to enhance the client experience.
